VAT Explained

Our display price doesn't include VAT. As a business registered in the UK, we are required by applicable UK and EU laws to charge VAT on your orders, depending on your shipping address and whether you are VAT registered in the EU.

VAT on UK orders

If your order is to be shipped within the UK, your order will be charged VAT by default. Unless, you are shipping to a UK forwarder who will subsequently export your goods outside the UK. In which case, VAT should be applied based on the final destination on your goods. If VAT should not be applied, please email your proof of export to us and we will refund your VAT in 3 working days.

VAT on EU orders

If your order is to be shipped to the EU VAT Area, your order will be charged VAT by default, unless you are VAT registered in the EU. For your convenience, the following counties are in the EU VAT area as of Nov 2017:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

If you are VAT registered in the EU, we can mark your account as VAT Exempt on our website. Once your account is marked as VAT exempt, our website will not charge VAT on your orders. Please note, manual check will be carried out all the time to ensure VAT is applied correctly. Please follow the these steps to apply:

  1. Create an account on our website
  2. Send your registered business name and VAT number to web@moguland.com
  3. We will validate your business and VAT number and get back to you in 3 working days.

VAT on orders to the rest of the world

If your order is to be shipped to outside the EU, VAT should not be applied to your order.
